The Early Music Society of Victoria (Australia) encourages the enjoyment of mediaeval, renaissance and baroque music.
It runs events such as players' and singers' afternoons, and public concerts. New members and visitors are most welcome at all activities.
To join the EMSV see the JOIN section for the application form. Annual subscription $15 per email address.
EMSV Members receive "What's On in early music" emails every 2 or 3 weeks and may view the latest version on this website in the Members' section.
The EMSV WHAT'S ON column has changed editor from Lyn Hawkins to Jim Bland.
However it will work the same as before as the contact email for concert notices and instruments for sale is still email@example.com
EMSV members - Your subscription for the year July 1st 2018/ 30th June 2019 is now due. Membership form is in the JOIN section of the website.
The annual sub from 1st July 2019 to June 30th is $10. A family sub is the same cost as an individual sub; $10, as long as there is only 1 email address.
Please remember to make a note of your name on the pay-in section of your direct debit.
Also please send us an email with your membership form, otherwise we won't know you've paid as each $10 deposit looks the same.

The meeting will start with prepared items by groups or individuals. Length of items can be up to about 5-8 minutes. Let Lyn know if you need the harpsichord and what pitch (A415 or A440). So practise up your party pieces
General playing/singing will follow if time allows - music will be supplied. A renaissance / early baroque musical afternoon of choral / instrumental works. Any singers / instrumentalists can participate in the group playing, but instruments must be of authentic style for the period. All vocal lines will be doubled by instruments.
